Atelier Peridot founders Maria Gverovic and family were raised in Dubrovnik, Croatia where she learned to make almost everything she wore.

For Maria, creating jewellery is an intimate process. Before deciding materials used, she thinks about how a design will be used and where it will be worn. Once she’s ready to design a piece, she treats the raw natural material with carefulness and an eye for a detail.

Each piece is unique and handmade with love.

After years of practice, Maria has found that being unique and yourself in design yields the most elegant results.

Even when she started small with simple bracelets in 2011, she always matched her meticulousness with curiosity.

Travelling around the globe, she has learned various techniques and designs that have helped her cultivate a singular yet international style.

However, being born and raised in Dubrovnik brings that traditional design through most of the pieces. Even the simples piece of jewellery with traditional Dubrovnik button brings that piece a deeper meaning and connects a person with the rich history of Dubrovnik Republic.

Today, she still makes time to learn new techniques and exhibits at fashion shows in Croatia.
